New information emerges about the life of American superstar Whitney Huston. In the book named “Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame” it was revealed that the singer was blackmailed by a Chicago lawyer who threatened to reveal her relationship with her personal assistant and longtime friend, Robyn Crawford. It seems that her biggest secret was not only her drug abuse, but also relationship with another woman. In order not to reveal the nature of her relationship with her assistant, Chicago lawyer demanded $250,000 in return.
This event took place in 1992 and it is documented in the FBI file that Houston’s handlers also received several threatening letters. Based on the report, the matter was settled by a confidentiality agreement by John Houston. The amount of money involved is not known.
Along the stories of drug abuse of both mother and daughter, Ian Halperin, the author of the book supposedly quoted a former Houston’s bodyguard, Kevin Ammons. He said that Whitney’s father was concerned that Robyn Crawford might reveal her relationship with the singer.
Bobby Brown has allegedly stated in his memoire that the only way for Huston to stop being accused of her bisexuality was to get married and have kids.
In 2000, the former Huston’s assistant and her alleged lover who is openly gay, resigned from Whitney’s production company.
In 2011 Whitney Huston died in a hotel room at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills after accidentally drowning in a bathtub. The autopsy report confirmed that the causes of her death were the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.
In January 2015, the similar fate struck her daughter who was found in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta. Bobbi Kristina has been hospitalized and remains in an unresponsive state.
