This is what destroys kidneys

The purpose of the kidneys is to eliminate toxic substances from your blood. These useless substances discharge through the urethra. The accumulation of such substances causes kidney failure.

If you want to protect your kidneys, you should pay attention to the following.

Overuse of drugs which relieve pain – Overuse of pain killers weakens the kidney’s main function.

Alcohol – Another bad habit which has the negative impact on the function of kidneys. Moderate drinking is tolerable. However, overuse of alcohol has negative impact on the kidneys and liver.

Improper hydration – If you drink enough water, your kidneys will function in a proper way. However, insufficient hydration leads to build-up of toxins in the blood. The suggested intake of water should be more than 10 glasses of water a day.

Excessive consumption of protein – If you already have problems with kidneys, protein-rich diet should be avoided.

Holding in your urine – If you hold urine for a long time, you are at risk of damaging your kidneys and even cause complications in the urinary tract.

Lack of magnesium – Adequate amount of magnesium is required in order to successfully absorb calcium. If calcium is not properly absorbed, kidney stones are formed. Green leafy vegetables, beans, seeds and nuts are recommended as prevention.

Carbonated beverages – Regular intake of carbonated beverages can have a negative effect on your kidneys. It causes kidney deficiency or kidney stones.

Lack of Vitamin B6 – Suggested intake of vitamin B6 for proper function of the kidneys is at least 1.3 milligrams per day.

Excessive consumption of sodium – Excessive consumption of salt influences the rise of blood pressure and increases strain on the kidneys. The intake of sodium should be limited to 5.8 grams daily.

Excessive consumption of coffee – Caffeine can have a negative effect on the kidneys. Caffeine also increases blood pressure and strain on the kidneys.

Overindulging in food – Risk of kidney stones is increased, if your daily calorific intake is higher than 2,200 calories.
