Recipe for the best homemade bread!


Bread is something we all love, but seldom make. However, when you try this easy recipe, the smell of freshly baked bread is going to spread through your house every day.

In order to make this healthy homemade peasant bread, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour,
  • 1 tsp Kosher sea salt,
  • 1 cup lukewarm water,
  • 1 tsp sugar,
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast,
  • 1 tbsp butter brought to room temperature.

Mix sugar and water in a small mixing bowl. Wait until it is dissolved. Add yeast on top of it and leave it like that for 10 minutes. Take another, larger bowl and whisk flour and salt. If the yeast mixture is foamy, add it into flour and mix until it is one compact mass.

Cover it with something and leave it to rise for an hour in a hot place.

Set the oven to 425F and wait until it is heated. Use one tablespoon of butter to grease oven safe bowl. Make small holes in the dough with a fork and put it in the greased bowl. Again, leave it for another 30 minutes and then put it in the oven.

After first 15 minutes, reduce the heat to 375 and bake for another 15-17 minutes.

After it is baked, take the bread out of the oven and leave it on a surface for 10 minutes.

Now it is ready to be served!
