Scientist shoots himself in pool to see if guns work underwater

gunshot - underwater

A scientific theory is only valid if it can be proven. Scientists decided to test the theory of a gunshot underwater.

Andreas Wahl filmed the terrifying stunt to see how guns work underwater – and if he would be hit if the trigger was pulled.

The adrenalin junkie stood directly in the firing line of an assault rifle and placed all his faith in physics to save his life.

“To show the difference in resistance, physicist Andreas Wahl puts himself in front of a weapon submerged in water and fires it – on himself.”

After pulling the trigger, the bullet travels about 1.5 metres before falling to the ground as Wahl paddles away, breathing a huge sigh of relief.

The video shows the bullet dipping and swerving underwater in beautiful slow motion.
