Based on reports of the Polish government, the recent discovery made by a Pole and German could be the legendary Nazi “gold train”.
It is believed that this train is packed with gold, gems and weapons. This 150 meter long German train disappeared just before the end of World War II near the Polish town of Walbrzych.
According to Poland’s National Heritage and Conservation Officer Piotr Zuchowski, the location of this train and its contents were disclosed by a dying man. Using a ground-penetrating radar, Polish authorities have found it.
However, they still have to confirm whether the contents of the train are as valuable as it is believed. The Polish authorities know the exact location of the train and it is located along a 4km stretch of track on the Wroclaw-Walbrzych line.
In the past, armored trains were used to carry items of extreme value and this train is one of those.
The person who disclosed the location of the train, said on his deathbed that the train is protected with explosives.
Deputy Mayor of Walbrzych, Zygmunt Nowaczyk confirmed that they have discovered something mysterious and of value.
The Polish authorities warn treasure hunters to stop looking for the train because it could be booby-trapped and they could be seriously injured.
