The initial plan of drone pilot Kevin Miller from San Diego was to capture images of wind turbine, from different angles. Instead of this, he invaded the privacy of a guy who was sunbathing on top of a wind turbine.
This footage was made in Rhode Island.
According to Miller, the guy did not notice the drone at first, probably because he was taking a nap. Because of this, Miller decided to move his drone a bit closer in order to greet him. He moved the drone from one side to another as a way of saying hello and the man waved back.
The man who was sitting on top of a 200-foot turbine was unidentified at first. Some people were convinced that he was an engineer doing some maintenance work.
However, the truth is more interesting. The man is actually a monk who is known for this activity. He works at a Portsmouth Abbey School.
