It has been said that there is a possibility that Islamic State terrorists might attack music festivals and football games using drones.
According to Colonel Richard Kemp, this possibility is valid and the consequences of explosives in crowded areas are unthinkable.
Allegedly, ISIS will try to obtain commercial drones similar to those which are in military’s possession. Their goal is to cause a massacre and also film it. It is believed that they plan to initiate a synchronized attack, including multiple drone attacks.
A senior naval analyst, Christopher Harmer, stated that ISIS will turn drones into a fleet of little kamikaze drones.
This is not the first threat. Back in 2003, a picture of a drone emerged and it was reported that ISIS might use this to disperse biological weapons. This was presented by the Secretary of State Colin Powell during a U.N. Security Council.
However, after United Nations in 2004 observed Iraq’s weapons programs, it was reported that there are no indications that Iraqi UAVs were used for the delivery of chemical or biological weapons agents.
