Eight ISIS terror group targets in Syria were successfully hit in Russian air strikes. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, civilian infrastructure was not damaged.
The operation was conducted after a thorough analysis of surveillance data in order to avoid civilian damages.
Twenty flights resulted in destruction of ISIS coordination centers, arms, fuel depots and military equipment.
The start of Russian military operation against ISIS terrorist forces was announced earlier. According to Syrian state television, targets were located in the areas of Homs and Hama.
However, the head of the Turkey-based Syrian National Coalition Khaled Khoja said that at least 36 civilians died during the Russian air strikes.
One hour before the operation, Russia demanded that the US clears the skies. The US did not respond to this. The US will continue its operation against the Islamic state.
