Remains of 10,000 years old mammoth were discovered underneath the football stadium in the United States.
Loren Davis, an associate professor of anthropology at Oregon State University, where the bones were found, said: “There are quite a few bones, and dozens of pieces.
“Some of the bones are not in very good shape, but some are actually quite well preserved.”
OSU spokesman Steve Clark added: “We believe we have an intact femur from a mammoth.
“There also appear to be bones from other species, including possibly a bison and a camel.”
However, he added that no human remains or artefacts were discovered at the site.
