It is well known that The Bilderberg Group is being talked about. In reality, we do not have proper information about this private meeting of international politicians and bosses.
We know the venue – The upcoming meeting is going to take place at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol in the Austrian Alps. Previous meeting was in Copenhagen. But, the information about the location was not always known and public.
And who will attend this year –The list of attendees is released by the group. Some of the most prominent names are George Osborne and Ed Balls from the UK, Jose Barroso a former EU Commission President and other attendees are from companies like Google, BP, Shell and Deutsche Bank.
We know the outline of debate and broad subject – As the group releases the topics, this year the debate is going to be about “Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Chemical Weapons Threats, Current Economic Issues, European Strategy, Globalisation, Greece, Iran, Middle East, NATO, Russia, Terrorism, United Kingdom, USA, US Elections”. What is interesting about these topics is that they are quite broad so if they are going to discuss the topic of UK, they could be talking about Brexit or recent elections.
The security will be tight and serious – The Bilderberg Group starts on Thursday and the area around the meeting venue will be under lockdown. Austrian police have already set security checks on incoming and departing vehicles in the area around the Interalpen-Hotel. Police protection is provided by National governments. During previous meetings, anyone who tried to enter and document what was going on behind the secured premises was arrested.
Unfortunately, we will never know what was actually discussed and said – The attendees never disclosed anything that had been discussed. Minutes are not taken and reports on any conclusions are not made. We do not know whether any votes happened or if the policies were proscribed. Journalist are not able to interview attendees because they have been previously arrested. Reached conclusions are generally announced in a public manner, but details remain vague.
