Boston Dynamics let their robot roam freely in the woods of Boston – VIDEO

Boston-Dynamics-Atlas-Robot

Terminator-like robot is roaming freely in the area of Boston. Boston Dynamics is in charge of this project. This robot was let out by its creators in order to test it out of the laboratory.

According to Marc Raibert who is the founder of Boston Dynamics, scenarios can’t be predicted out in the open, so it is quite a different challenge.

Robot named Atlas is able to walk without any help on difficult terrain. The Atlas robot is 6’2 feet tall and weighs 330lb. Creators of this robot further plan to enable the robot to walk or run without its power tether.

Raibert stated that they want to perfect it as much as they can and enable it to do as much as humans can do.

At a recent Robo-Olympics Boston Dynamics’ robots did not tend to stand on their feet. Now, the huge progress has been made.

The Atlas robot succeeded in imitating one karate move from the movie the Karate Kid.
