It is speculated that Vladimir Putin’s driver was assassinated as a threat to Russian President. This claim emerged recently as one of the explanations of the accident.
The Russian President’s official car was involved in a horrific head-on crash in capital city Moscow on Tuesday.
The presidential black BMW was reduced to scrap metal after it was struck by a Mercedes which veered from the opposite side of a busy main road.
Russian media reported the car was being driven by Putin’s “favourite chauffeur”, who was killed instantly in the brutal smash.
Putin was not in the car at the time of the horror crash.
Paramedics rush to the scene, but the victim – who had more than 40 years’ driving experience – died instantly.
Police confirmed they have launched an investigation, without giving any further details – sparking speculation over the driver’s death.
Now unsubstantiated claims the crash was an alleged assassination plot carried out by “foreign secret agents” has emerged online.
According to pro-Putin conspiracy theory website Millennium Report, the plot was coordinated by western spooks operating from within Moscow.
In an article titled “Did the neocon criminal cabal just send a message to President Vladimir Putin?”, the website suggests the alleged assassination was part of a wider “Anglo-American” plot to take out Putin’s inner circle
The website claims a “AAA cabal” want to to seize control of Russia’s rich natural resources, including as oil, gas, gold and uranium.
On their website, Millennium Report describes itself as an “alternative news platform” that claims to present “the most current and accurate news stories available on the internet”.
In the article they write: “It’s not very often that the head of state of a superpower nation is sent such a dramatic and violent message.
“That appears to have just happened with the killing of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s favorite chauffeur while he was driving the president’s official automobile.
“Putin’s official car involved in horror crash – killing leader’s ‘favourite’ driver
“Such an audacious threat to the life of President Putin can only be coordinated by an inside group of foreign secret service agents who have proxies operating within Moscow.
“Moscow is so large that the agents themselves may have planned and carried out the attack from right inside of the city.”
The claims made by Millennium Report are unsubstantiated and appear to be politically motivated.
CCTV images of the high-speed collision show the BMW exploding through a safety barrier in a cloud of smoke before spinning out of control.
The condition of the other driver involved in the crash is not yet known.
There is no suggestion they were involved in the alleged assassination plot Millennium Report refers to.
The Federation Council — Russia’s equivalent of the House of Lords – are official owners of the vehicle driven by Putin’s driver.
The clean-up operation took several hours and a huge traffic jam formed when Kutuzovsky Avenue was closed after the crash.
The crash raises fears over the safety of the Russian leader when hitching a ride in official cars.
The incident comes after US intelligence chiefs revealed Putin is building nuke proof command-and-control bunkers in and around Moscow in preparation for nuclear war.
And last month experts warned Vladimir Putin’s Russia has the capabilities to launch an invasion of Europe “overnight”.
