A video recently emerged which apparently portrays the panic caused by a flying UFO. It appears that a Russian cosmonaut did not take this bravely.
According to UFO hunter Scott C. Waring, there was mild drama in space on November 9, 2013, when two or three alien crafts flew past Russian cosmonauts (see YouTube video below) conducting a symbolic Olympic Torch relay in space for the 2014 Winter Olympics held in Sochi, Russia.
The 2014 Olympic Torch was flown to the ISS in orbit on board the Soyuz TMA-11M spacecraft that took off from the Baikonur cosmodrome on November 7, 2013.
The Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy, who had spent more than a month on board the ISS, emerged from the Pirs docking module of the space station at about 9:34 p.m. on November 9, 2013, carrying the unlit red and silver aluminum torch, according to Space.com.
The torch was not lit outside the ISS in space as combustion is not possible in a vacuum. It was also not lit inside the ISS due to safety regulations prohibiting naked flames inside the ISS.
As the two Russian cosmonauts walked in space outside the Russian module of the ISS, they passed the torch to each other a few times. After an hour, they returned the torch to the module and started scheduled maintenance work during extravehicular activity (EVA) that lasted about six hours.
As they took turns carrying the torch, they filmed the activity using a GoPro camera (see YouTube below) and other cameras mounted on the exterior of the ISS.
Nearly eight-and-a-half minute footage of the Olympic Torch relay in space, uploaded to YouTube on September 1, 2016 by UFO blogger Scott C. Waring (see YouTube above), shows the alleged moment that a Russian cosmonaut filming the Olympic Torch relay with a GoPro camera “freaked out” when he saw about three UFOs flying past him.
According to Waring, writing on his UFO Sightings Daily blog, when the Russian cosmonaut saw the UFOs flying past in front of him, he started in fright and stumbled to the right, nearly losing balance.
“When the Russian astronaut sees the UFOs fly in front of him as he holds the GoPro camera, he totally loses it…”
Anticipating skeptics’ argument that the alleged UFOs were merely space debris that happened to be drifting past at the time, Waring argued that they performed space-flight maneuvers impossible for drifting space flotsam and jetsam.
According to the UFO hunter, at the moment the frightened Russian cosmonaut tried to move away from the space objects, the UFOs also appeared to make sudden dramatic turns as if startled by the cosmonaut’s sudden movement.
“Notice the two brighter UFOs get frightened by his sudden movement and… make a 135 degree sharp turn…”
Waring observed that some of the UFOs were “drone-sized” objects while several others were “bee-sized.” He speculated fancifully that the smaller UFOs were living (biological) alien entities. He based his conclusion partly on the observation that they were able to change direction abruptly.
“I quickly spotted many white entities moving about,” he wrote. “I say entities, not UFOs, because they looked small, drone-size, but others were tiny… bee-sized and a few zigzagged which should be impossible in space for a non-living or non-controlled object. Thus, they were evidence of life.”
“[Such movements are] impossible for a floating piece of debris to preform, but easy for a living creature or alien drone to do.”
Waring’s claims about the mysterious floating objects are reminiscent of claims made about footage captured during NASA’s 1991 STS-48 Space Shuttle Discovery orbital mission. According to UFO researchers, the famous STS-48 footage (see below) shows multiple bright UFOs claimed to be intelligently-control extraterrestrial crafts flying outside the shuttle.
The STS-48 Space Shuttle Discovery, launched on September 12, 1991, from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, carried an Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite designed to study the Earth’s atmosphere from space. As NASA astronauts deployed the satellite during spacewalk on September 15, 1991, cameras captured the alleged UFO footage that has been described as the “most bizarre and baffling UFO footage ever.”
The footage, according to UFO enthusiasts, shows UFOs outside the space shuttle moving in patterns suggestive of intelligent control. One of the alleged UFOs appears to move earthward and at about the 33-second mark it changes direction abruptly and flies off as if under purposeful, intelligent control.
But skeptics have dismissed claims that the footage shows intelligently-controlled extraterrestrial crafts. Some skeptics claim that the objects were ice particles moving as the shuttle’s thrusters fired.
Other suggestions include tiny particles floating near the camera lens, meteors, satellites and space junk.
A similar case was the so-called “tether incident” that happened during the 1996 STS-75 mission of the NASA’s Space Shuttle Columbia.
The STS-75 was sent to space to place in orbit the Tethered Satellite System. But the tether broke as astronauts deployed it.
Footage of the moment the tether broke allegedly shows UFOs floating around the tether.
But skeptics dismissed claims that the floating objects were UFOs, saying they were likely ice crystals and other particles termed “space dandruff.”
“Space dandruff” includes particles derived from the body of the spacecraft that float alongside the spacecraft because they are unable to fall away due to an absence of gravity in space.
