New study suggests we haven’t found Aliens because they’re extinct

alien life extinct

All those alien believers will be shocked by this new study. The new study revealed the theory that aliens are in fact extinct.

Aditya Chopra and Charles H. Lineweaver write in their study: “Here, we present an alternative Gaian bottleneck explanation: If life emerges on a planet, it only rarely evolves quickly enough to regulate greenhouse gases and albedo, thereby maintaining surface temperatures compatible with liquid water and habitability.

Such a Gaian bottleneck suggests that (i) extinction is the cosmic default for most life that has ever emerged on the surfaces of wet rocky planets in the Universe and (ii) rocky planets need to be inhabited to remain habitable.”

They refer to it as the Gaian Bottleneck and suggest that Life did evolve in all ‘corners’ of the universe billions of years ago, but it all went extinct too soon due to drastic changes in temperature, either their planets went too cool or too hot. We, however, are the cosmic exception according to Chopra and Lineweaver.

They suggest that life on Earth survived because our planet evolved fast enough to start balancing greenhouse gases like H2O and CO2 which in turn prevented such runaway climate on the planet like on other planets.

“The mystery of why we haven’t yet found signs of aliens may have less to do with the likelihood of the origin of life or intelligence and have more to do with the rarity of the rapid emergence of biological regulation of feedback cycles on planetary surfaces,” Chopra explained.

In the study, Chopra and his team make reference to early environments that reigned on Mars and Venus. All three planets might have been hospitable and, for all we know even inhabited, billions of years ago, but, if these planets didn’t evolve fast enough like planet Earth did, then Mars turns into an ‘icebox’ and Venus into a ‘hothouse’ which is what we are seeing today.

So even though life might have existed on those planets in the distant past, given the harsh conditions of the planets life became extinct.
