A new expedition will be sent to Mars. According to NASA representative, that may happen in the near future.
Charles Bolden stated that this mission will be further discussed with members of Congress, as well as with other attendees of the International Astronautical Congress.
It was revealed that the members of this mission will first land on one of Mars moons and after that on Mars.
The purpose of all missions sent to Mars or its vicinity is to establish whether Mars is suitable for living there. NASA plans to collaborate with its partners during this mission or every other future one.
During this mission, astronauts will have to learn how to stay productive in space, while reducing reliance on Earth. They will also determine the transportation and habitation capabilities.
NASA is faced with a huge challenge, because this mission requires a gigantic spacecraft. However, NASA is doing everything they can to solve this issue.
