A new research on climate change revealed that global warming started 130,000 years ago. According to this research, global warming was not caused by humans. It appears that it was caused by a naturally-caused warm spell.
The results of this research are welcomed by those who believe that global warming was not a man-made catastrophe.
Researchers discovered that 65% of Winter Sea ice around Antarctica disappeared due to natural causes during a period between Ice Ages about 128,000 years ago. This research was published report in the journal Nature Communications.
This theory is, of course, welcomed by those who argue that climate change is a result of human carbon emissions and denied by those who are skeptic about the entire climate change.
It is believed that climate change deniers have a hidden interest in the fossil fuel industry and therefore argue that it was man made. On the other hand, they say that they are actually interested in sources of renewable energy.
Nevertheless, climate change skeptics agree with the results of this theory because it supports their claim that climate change was caused by natural causes.
Even though this study revealed that the planet was able to cool off and increase the amount of polar ice after this warm spell that happened 128,000 years ago, scientists emphasize that human emissions did worsen natural events. Also, this study confirms the forecast by a panel of UN climate experts that Antarctica’s sea will decrease by 58% by 2200 due to global warming.
The scientists confirmed that fact sea ice around Antarctica disappeared due to natural causes in the past. However, they also found that man-made causes can activate trigger sudden shrinkage in the near future.
This claim is stated in the following manner: “A major reduction at 128,000 years ago could indicate a tipping point in the sea ice system.”
