Physicists are reviewing the option that our universe is a fake. They believe that we live in a computer simulation of the universe. Everything we know is just a simulation made by other entities, which are controlling our reality.
Physicists are trying to find evidence which supports the claim that we are living in a simulation.
According to Robert Lawrence Kuhn, what we know as just a movie Matrix, could be our reality.
Philosopher Nick Bostrom stated that even our brains belong to simulation. In his theory, one big computer program is simulating everything.
According to a founder of artificial intelligence Marvin Minsky, people could hardly notice that everything is a computer simulation. The only way to notice would be if a programmer made a mistake or if something obviously didn’t comply with the laws of physics.
The only way to prove these theories is to find evidence. In order to succeed in this, we have to make our own simulation of the universe. Also, the laws of physics have to be simulated.
Professor Beane believes that the laws of physics have to be overlaid onto a discrete three-dimensional lattice which advances in time. Along with his colleagues, Professor Beane concluded that lattice spacing enforces a limit on the energy that particles can have. This means that if a universe is a simulation, there has to be a disruption in the spectrum of high energy particles.
This disruption is known as the Greisen–Zatsepin–Kuzmin cut off. If scientists succeed in proving that the lattice spacing forces other features on the spectrum, this would be the answer that our universe is not what it seems to be.
